The weird kid who never smiles

she was happy they cared
she was happy to fit in
she wasnt anymore
the weird kid who never smiles

Finally she wasn't the 'geek' anymore
finally she had friends who were popular
but she dint know what happened behind her back
how the only people who stood up for her
were the ones she snapped at

she thought she was cool
she thought she was smart
until they decided she wasnt cool enough
poof went the dream
gushing down the stream
poof went her world
she now faced reality

all the ones worth
of keeping around
had been pushed far away
before she realized
the mistake she had made

too late for changes
too late for ammends
now the girl who was "in"
came out from the wrong end

so there she was back in her place
but all her 'old' friends
were now gone without a trace

I know she regrets pushing us away
but i can't do anything
coz its far to late

all i can do
is pass the story on
coz i don't want you
to lose a friend like i lost

the lesson is not that you never change and grow up
the lesson is that you never change enough
to forget the ones who spent
times happy and rough

Coz they are the ones
who will always be there for you
and never expect you to change
cos they accept you for you.
